WHY LITHUANIA ? +91 95011 07878

WHY LITHUANIA ?

Lithuania is at a crossroad between west and east Europe, and throughout its complicated history has developed a unique culture, which encompasses both deep respect for traditions and robust wish to learn and innovate. We are members of EU and NATO, and are among the most bilingual and educated nations in Europe, however costs of living here are lower than in western countries, which makes Lithuania great for tourism, education or business.

Lithuanian people are simple, calm and can be somewhat shy with foreigners, but friendly and good-intended when you get to know them. We are keen to share our experience and the way of life with the rest of the world. If you plan to visit, you are certain to leave with dozens of new friends. For inspiration, go through the „living in Lithuania“ and take a look at the official webpage of Visit Abroad or Call us +91 9501107878

America is Beautiful

18 THINGS EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW BEFORE VISITING UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

1. The US is big – 3.8 million square miles big

To put it into flying-time perspective: it takes roughly the same time – give or take an hour – to fly from NYC to LA or to London. Also, two-hour daily commutes? Completely normal.

2. It’s the United States of America – remember there are fifty of them

Is it called soda, pop or soft drink? A subway sandwich, hoagie, hero or grinder? Depends on which state you’re from. Regional differences across the US extend to accents, food, drink, laws and politics. It’s little wonder one of the New York Times’ most-read features was about pronunciation.

3. Everything’s open 24/7, if you know where to look

The hungry beast of commerce ensures that you can probably find a 24/7 joint willing to satisfy your need for a 2am Slurpee, a 3am Double Quarter Pounder (see Supersize It!, below) and a 5am Venti with quintuple espresso shots and a caramel drizzle – especially in the big cities. When travelling through smaller cities and rural areas, you’ll need to plan ahead for earlier closing times or keep a sharp lookout for the odd 24-hour diner.

4. The country’s national parks are spectacular

The US’s national parks – which cover 84 million acres across every state – can claim many superlatives: The lowest point in the Western Hemisphere (Death Valley California); the highest point in North America (Mount McKinley in Denali National Park, Alaska); the longest cave system in the world (Mammoth Cave National Park, Kentucky); and the largest gypsum sand dunes in the world (White Sands National Monument, New Mexico).

5. There’s a festival for everything: roadkill, fungus, garlic – you name it

America is the land of weird and wonderful festivals, from the Chainsaw Carving Festival (Pennsylvania) to the Testicle Festival (Montana). Plus, deep in the heartland, state fairs are their own special brand of weird, where you can sample essentially everything deep-fried: Twinkies, butter, pig ears, White Castle burgers, bubblegum, Kool Aid and beer…

6. Americans are relentlessly friendly

But that can be more a mode of communication than a personality trait. A chirpy “How are you?” isn’t necessarily meant to be answered. And, the ubiquitous “have a nice day!” is often just another way of saying bye-bye (and perhaps receiving a touch higher tip…).

7. Speaking of tips, Americans give them out generously

Officially: Tipping is absolutely voluntary. Unofficially: 15% to 20% in restaurants is the norm, given that minimum wage is low, and tipping makes up for this.

8. You can always Supersize It!

Not only does fast food still dominate large tracts of the culinary landscape, but it has given rise to such intellectually stimulating phrases as, “Supersize it!” “Where’s the beef?” and “Do you want fries with that?” When in doubt, say yes. All that said, Americans work out with equal fervor – the US consistently tops the list of countries that exercise the most.

9. But the US also excels at wildly innovative, gourmet cuisine…

San Francisco and New York regularly show up on the top lists for number of Michelin stars, and celebrity chefs rival Hollywood royalty, with big names like Mario Batali, Wolfgang Puck, Anthony Bourdain and Rachael Ray spawning multimedia empires, with dozens of restaurants, books, TV shows, films and more.

10. New York is not the centre of the universe

Unless you’re talking to a New Yorker, in which case it is.

11. Los Angeles is not the centre of the universe

Unless you’re talking to an Angeleno, in which case it is.

12. Regional stereotypes abound

The laidback Californian? The “welcome, y’all” Southerner? The headstrong New Yorker? According to a study reported by Time magazine, yes, yes and yes. The study divided the US into three key regions: the New England and the Mid-Atlantic states, which were termed “temperamental and uninhibited;” the South and Midwest, called “friendly and conventional;” and the West Coast, Rocky Mountains and Sun Belt – “relaxed and creative.”

13. Montana has three times as many cows as it does people

The east and west coasts get much of the attention, but the US’s rolling interior encompasses ocean-sized expanses of farmland. In some circles, it’s called “flyover country” for the reasons you’d think.

14. The US doesn’t use the brilliantly logical metric system like the rest of the world

Height is measured in feet; football fields in yards; distances in miles. Though the “use of the metric system has been sanctioned by law in the US since 1866” according to the CIA website, widespread use has been slow, to say the least. The US isn’t entirely alone: two other countries also don’t use the metric system – Myanmar and Liberia.

15. America’s car culture is unrivalled

A quintessential American experience? Throttling down the highway, the wind in your air and the road ribboning behind you. Though the country’s car culture has waned since its heyday in the ‘50s and Mustang-era ‘60s, the car is still the dominant force in transport – and seeps into every facet of culture, including music: Life is a HighwayRoute 66Born to be WildPink Cadillac, and so on.

16. Baseball is America’s pastime

The rest of the world has soccer. America has baseball. During baseball season – April to September – there are few more classic American experiences than cheering on your favorite team (go, Yankees!) under the warm spring sunshine, enjoying a hot dog and beer (or five).

17. Relatively speaking, the US is just a toddler

Native Americans arrived more than a thousand years ago, but the formation of the United States is just a couple of hundred of years old – the US celebrated 239 years on July 4, 2015.

18. The American Dream is still going strong

No, the streets aren’t paved with the gold but the belief in the American Dream? Still going strong (especially if your last name is Rockefeller).

All the best,

Australia Visa Rules for Indian Students

A combination of courses, including Graduate Diplomas and Graduate Certificates, one year bachelor PLUS one-year master, and two 1-year masters degrees, will qualify postgraduate coursework students for the visa.

Please note that:

Bachelor degree studies of a minimum of 2 year will qualify students – but any period of diploma studies will not be counted towards the “Australian Study Requirement”, so students should be advised to take a Dipoma course that provides a maximum of one year credit towards a 3-year bachelor degree
While Graduate Certificates and Graduate Diplomas will count towards the study requirement, they must be qualifying courses for the relevant master degree. In other words, a student cannot do a 1.5 years master degree, and then after the master take a Graduate Certificate to reach the 2 year study requirement. Such students should be counselled to take a second master degree

Getting USA student visa is very easy if you follow these tips

F1 Visa Interview Tips Not Tricks

Prepare your own answers in 1 or 2 sentences for few common questions like –

  1.  Why U.S? why not India, Europe?
  2.  Why did you choose this univ among the other admits?
  3.  What do you want to do after study in USA?
  4.  How do you plan to fund your education? (There is absolutely no need to show astronomical figures in bank. Liquid cash for 1st year and some plan like loan for second year. Sound confident. Do not be in a hurry and show your bank statements or CA statements unless asked for)
  5.  Q Will you return to India after your course?
Answer. YES. Just say yes I would. Cut it there. Do not go on telling him stories of how companies like XYZ are investing so much and it will help u etc etc…elaborate it only if asked. Don’t try too hard to convince him. Short confident answers will do the job. Remember they are like high level HRs taking the interviews. With their experience, they have the ability to read and assess you in a minute. etc//. Do your homework

  • Listen to the question properly and think for a second before answering. Don’t be in any sort of a hurry to start your answer the moment he ends the question.
  • If you take that little pause, you will know what exactly is being asked and will answer accordingly. Otherwise the answer may turn out to be vague or irrelevant.

Consulates Doesn’t Matter

Don’t worry if you are attending interview at Delhi consulate. It doesn’t matter which consulate.

All that matters is how well you answer. They have been rejecting quite a bit but don’t let that fear suck you in.

What happens at the most? They will reject you. Anything else? Apply again.

If it’s the second time already, still it’s okay.

When the fear of reject doesn’t come into the picture, there is no place for anxiety and you’d be calm and confident.

Luck is a factor but not the only factor.

99% of the factors are in our control and don’t mess it up there.

Keep Clam

  • Have a cool mind. I have seen people shivering literally.
  • How can one expect to answer properly in such a state of mind?
  • Remove the fear of a reject totally. When the univ gives us admission, when we want to study, when we have funds ready, there is no reason why we’d be rejected unless we mess it up ourselves by fumbling too much.

Will You Come Back

Will he believe when I say I want to come back? Answer is no.

He won’t. but sound confident about your plans if asked.

“There is absolutely nothing you can do to prove that you’d return”.

If a country is against immigrants, it will not believe people on word on the basis of a 1 minute interview.

This is all a trap and a good reason for them to reject applicants. If they want, they can kick us out soon after our graduation ceremony. They wouldn’t offer us OPT’s of 12 months (extended to 24 now) and give us options.

Basically what I want to convey is U.S needs us more than we need U.S. Let us look at it from a different perspective now. After providing world class infrastructure for research, will they willingly allow us to go back, work in home countries and become a competition to them inturn?

No. Surely not. They are looking to filter and take the best brains from all the countries.

This filtering is done from the visa stage as I see. Who is a potential immigrant and who is not? How can it be decided in a few seconds? Don’t try too hard to convince him here. If he has decided to give you that potential immigrant slip, no amount of explanation would convince him.

U.S. Visa Rejection Reasons

Now you may ask why and when he gives this slip. As per my understanding, he uses this tool to remove people who he thinks are false, people who lie, who can fabricate, who can cheat. Many good applicants fumble, confuse, shiver which should be avoided at all costs!

A little of that is expected and VOs understand it – they are humans too. But too much of it won’t help for sure.

I saw a guy worrying about what he should say if the Visa Officer asks his name!

His worry was that his name on i20 is a little different than passport. How does it matter if I say Rama Krishnan Murti or Murti Rama Krishnan!!

Too much worry will lead to nothing.

Don’t try to be brilliant in that 3 minutes.

To sum it up –

Fact #1 : You want to study, you got admission, you have funds. There is no reason to worry about anything.

Fact #2 : U.S needs you more than you need U.S A. We have an upper hand! So don’t go with a fear whether he’d find you good enough or not. Don’t underestimate yourself. Go confidently. Go like a brave soldier not like a wounded one.

We deserve visa.

The only reason we fumble and get tensed is because we feel something is lacking in us and try to convince him on that.

Do not do that.

This is not a professional job interview where you’d be tested on the subject matter. These are questions even a 10th standard guy can answer casually. So don’t lose your sleep over it. Let us break this hype.

When we do that, automatically the anxiety, tension, euphoria surrounding will vanish.
